Hi to All, A Black-backed Wagtail (Motacilla lugens) was seen at the Broome Sewerage Ponds on Saturday and Sunday by George Swann and the BBO Wardens Janet Sparrow & Chris Hassell. This morning Chris and Jan saw the bird again at the same place and managed to photograph it as well. Despite Jan ending up with gravel rashed knees in the process. Also present at Crystal Ponds this morning were 10 Yellow Wagtails (Motacilla flava) and 3 Snipe Spp. The only other records for Black-backed Wagtails in Australia appear to be Fraser Is. ,Qld 1987 & just up the road in Derby in 1995 & 1996.
