In the process of compiling a list the same size as Lorne's (8 species)
I came up with a short list of 25, none of which were on his list. I'm
sure others could come up with lists that totally excluded both our
lists. That's the beauty of birding, there are so many great and
beautiful birds out there that no two people will have the same list.
For what it's worth, here are my best 8 aussie birds, at the moment, ask
me again in twelve months and I'm sure it would be different.
Azure Kingfisher
Northern Scrub-Robin
Scarlet Robin
Gouldian Finch
Double-eyed Fig-Parrot
Splendid Fairy-Wren
Crimson Chat
Cinnamon Quail-Thrush
Hmm, a definite tendency towards red and blue here.
