Hi My partner and I are planning to travel to East Africa for two months, commencing at the start of June. I'm the keen birdwatcher, while Rita has a mild interest. We are seeing the gorillas in Uganda, and also intend to travel to the Serengiti to view the big game. However, we'd also like to do some birdwatching over there; can anyone help with advice regarding good sites, good safari companies, places to stay etc? Our budget is not large, and we will do some camping if possible. We have the Lonely Planet guide to East Africa, and I've been in touch with Alan Wilkinson of the African Bird Club who has been very helpful. We also have copies of the magazine "African Safari" which is quite useful. Thank you Ian Sinclair |
