You're going to think I have nothing to do but this vicarious birding. In case the natives don't know much about lodging, I stayed at the Sans Souci (a suburb) Motor Inn, 8km south of the airport. Tel. (0)2 529 4600. I picked it 'cause I wanted to be on that side of town for early morning trips to Royal NP and Wollongong. My last trip, I stayed there again before my a.m. flight. I think it was about AUS$75 for a single. I called hotels right at the airport, but they're all expensive. A good thing about it is that there are lots of restaurants (Chinese, Indian, pizza, Macdonalds, etc.) and a grocery within walking distance. I have their detailed map (you know navigating around Sydney is a nightmare, right?) |
