Do you have nesting birds in your back garden? At present Lizzy Buwier from the BBC is looking for birds nesting in suburban backyards in Australia. Lizzy is canvassing at the moment for a film crew to return next spring. The main species are: Magpie, Willie Wagtail, Kookaburra, Parrots (including Red-rumped, Lorikeets, Galah, Rosellas etc). If you know of birds nesting in someone's backyard and who wouldn't mind a film crew, please contact me and I shall pass your details onto Lizzy. They can either be in artificial nestboxes or natural hollows or open nests. Thanks in advance. --------------------- Petina Pert Wildlife Policy Officer Flora & Fauna Branch Dept.
