I discovered when using this chart last year that I might be just the
tiniest bit colour blind; either than or the subtleties are too fine for
my (relatively) untrained eye to pick. My brother, who is a an artist,
left me for dead in picking the subtle differences of colour.
So getting the chart is one thing; using it accurately is something
different again. It is certainly only useful for birds in the hand, in
good even light - no use at all for birds at the other end of a pair of
binoculars (look through a few different pairs & witness the not-so-subtle
changes in colour that reveals).
