Things are quietening down now after the rush of spring. Highlights in NSW
over the last week are as follows:

BLACK BITTERN 1 Ourimbah Creek, Chittaway 17/11
PACIFIC BAZA 2 Tumbi Umbi, Central Coast 5/11
LITTLE BUTTON QUAIL 1 Gloucester Tops 16/11
HOODED PLOVER 2 Lake Conjola, South Coast 10/11
     WOOD SANDPIPER 1 Bushell's Lagoon, Windsor 12/11
WOMPOO FRUIT-DOVE 1 Berkely Vale 17/11 - first central Coast record
GLOSSY BLACK COCKATOO 2 Howes Valley, Putty Road 10/11
SOOTY OWL 1 Sharpes Creek, Gloucester Tops 15/11
SACRED KINGFISHER 2 Surry Hills (central Sydney!) 15/11
NOISY PITTA 2 Copeland Tops, Gloucester 16/11
PARADISE RIFLEBIRD 1m Copeland Tops 16/11

(As an aside to this note, can I request that we all sign off our
messages to Birding-Aus with our full name and email address? There
seems to be a tendency for people to sign off with just a first name
and nothing else. It's as good as anonymous to me, as the system I
use (through work) does not display the sender's address and I can not
respond to people direct because I do not know their address. It's
also common courtesy with to sign "mail".)
