Hi Guys,
Well it seems I am not the first to do this, but I am the latest impatient fool
to do a 'fis erase' over the reserved space and it's precious cargo.
I had previously dumped the mtd partitions and their layouts, from which I have
extracted the kernel and redboot images.
Using serialblaster I can boot redboot and happily go from there. However, on
boot from flash, the system seems to hang after the TS-BOOTLOADER messages and
never goes on to redboot.
If I build boot.bin to boot off the flash and bootstrap that from serial, it
gives a 'unrecoverable flash error' message.
I have flashed the redboot image (and the ones from embeddedarm.com) to the
RedBoot partition, both at the start address and also offset by 0x20000. All
boot happily via serial, but not via the TS-BOOTOADER
I have flashed the 16k bootrom from embeddedarm.com to the start of the
reserved space and also offset by 0x20000.
What I am looking for is the correct layout and addresses for all these bits on
the flash... can anybody point me to some documentation that will give the
addresses where the bootloader and redboot are supposed to reside?
Kind regards,
Andrew
