I'm using a Kantronics KPC-3+, as it seemed to do everything I needed it to at a fair price.  I welcome all the help I can get!

I'll be checking getty's next, as JB suggested.  I'm hoping to avoid a USB to serial link - my students are using the two ports on the 7200, and I'm not sure that a USB hub is a viable option.  That's something else I'm looking into, though.

No response from the modem whatsoever. I'm getting the occasional linefeed when I turn on the TNC, but nothing recognizable as the TNC's startup messages.

Finally someone else doing ham radio :) What are you using for a TNC?
I can try and get my hands on a TS-7200 and test with my KPC3 and a KAM
if that's any help :)
