Hello, folks!
I'm working on an interesting problem that at the moment has me stumped. I
have a TS-7200, and plan on using it (and some of the other TS add-on boards)
to build a communications package for a weather balloon experiment.
I've got the TS up and running with Debian Linux (that comes with the
development kit), and can communicate with it using my Linux box (ground
station) or my XP desktop. Both Com1 and com2 work equally well for that, no
problem there.
The trouble starts when I connect the TNC (think radio modem) to com1 (I need
the hardware flow control that com2 doesn't have). I'm using minicom to talk
to the TNC. No response from the modem whatsoever. I'm getting the occasional
linefeed when I turn on the TNC, but nothing recognizable as the TNC's startup
messages.
I've checked the cables, and the TNC fires up flawlessly when connected to my
Linux groundstation or my XP desktop.
Any advice?
Patrick
