This may sound stupid, but try switching to a different cable and Ethernet port
on the switch. A few dropped packets in a row can cause these symptoms.

Subject: [ts-7000] TS-7400 ethernet issue
I have a network of seven TS-7400, where each one sends `keep alive' xml data
(~700 bytes) once every 15 seconds over ethernet. The xml data contains a
timestamp. Most of the TS-7400 work perfectly, but a couple of the units seem
to get hung up and randomly stop sending the data for a period of a couple
minutes or longer. This application is still running. Then for some reason,
all the data packets are transmitted to the server within 1 second of each
other. I'm running this from the SD development card. Any ideas?
