Unconfigured, the TS-7500 starts with just a tiny busybox linux installation running on the onboard flash memory, and I'm not sure that gcc is included there. There are jumpers on the ts-752 to switch to a mode where the linuxrc-sdcard rc-file is loaded at boot time, causing the board to try to boot from the microSD-card instead. On the microSD-card, you should have a linux installation, preferrably from the image provided by TS at ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7500-linux/binaries/ts-images/2gbsd-eclipse-latest.dd.bz2

Thanks, Walter.
My problem is more rudimentary.
Brett advised me to follow the TS-7500 software guide.
On my hyperterminal i typed this against '#' prompt: gcc -Wall -mcpu=arm9 tstest.c -o tstest
It told me this: /bin/hs: gcc: not found
what steps I should take before writing a program?
thanks,

It is then simply a matter of using mmap to map the hardware into the user space and tweaking the correct registers in the hardware.
