[ts-7000] kernel update ts 7200

Hi, I'm trying to install php5 and I installed this repository
deb http://ftp.es.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free
when I try to install php tells me the kernel version must be 2.6 , but this is 
installed is Linux ts7000 2.4.26-ts11 #215 Thu Jun 8 14:30:17 MST 2006 armv4l 
GNU/Linux
Do not know much about kernel and I would like to use kernel-2.6.29-ts 
tskernel-src.tar.gz this 
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7200-linux/sources/, but information 
found on the installation and compilation of the kernel do with GUI.
how I can do for console? Or I can install php5??
