You are obviously setting porth bit 2 to 0 - this turns power off
to the ethernet phy.
When you write to port H to control bits3-5 for the lcd, then only alter
those bits. You should first read porth, alter only bits 3-5, then write
porth. This leaves the other bits unchanged and will leave your ethernet
functioning properly!
Moral of story - only alter what you must alter - leave everything else as
is.
