Sorry about the lengthy post, but I felt my intentions with the board needed to 
be detailed before I started asking questions.

Here's a summary of my requirements:

1) I need audio IO (and not "multimedia capability").
2) I need DIO and ADC.
3) I would prefer the board being able to run in low-power mode when powered by 
the car battery after the engine has stopped.
4) I need the CPU to be able to decode MP3 when in "usage mode"; not when in 
low-power mode.

Since you know the BeagleBoard, can you please confirm whether it conforms with 
these requirements compared to a TS-7602?
