I recall having no end of problems when I first got my mitts on a TS7550
trying to get Debian on to a stable and fully functional platform..
Eventually I got to a happpy place after installing emdebian (embedded
Debian, no man pages, docs, examples etc);
I appended "deb http://www.emdebian.org/grip lenny main" to sources.list
(and ensured that stable was set to lenny in all locations).
Then;
# apt-get update
# apt-get upgrade
# apt-get dist-upgrade
Though TBH, TS _should_ really ship these things with a working (read
not buggered) install, how they managed to get Apache so screwed up is
beyond me..
