Probably stupid question, but are you using RTC version of ts7400?

Try to disable /etc/init.d/hwclock and /ect/init.d/hwclockfirst . This should let you boot correctly.
Then try to find what's wrong with RTC from fully booted system  ...

I was concerned this was an issue with the SD card I was using so I tried a different SD card, but I had the exact same behavior. Thus the problem probably isn't the SD card.
