Thanks all for your responses. 
I want to use SWAP on SD card no matter if its slow or get burnt out soon. I am 
trying to follow the steps given in 
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/debian-linux-help/19549-how-configure-swap-space.html

The last step given in this thread is to modify /etc/fstab file but I don't 
know what node name will the swap partition on my SD card will show up in 
'/dev' directory (I have set the first partition on the SD card as the swap 
space)?
