Hi Bill,

I am very new at this, are there steps posted or some guidance on installing the api onto the device? I am using the eclipse development kit that came with the TS7800 and the server is up and running properly.

Hi also Bill,

I have an application running on Debian on a 7200 which writes not only to the local mysql server, but a remote one as well.  The advice above is accurate.  My application is in C.  The only pitfall I ran into (and thus the reason for my post) is that I had to specify the location of the mysql libraries when trying to compile my app.  I'm sure I could work around that by adding the library location to the path or perhaps one of many other methods, but I'm a bit of linux newbie :-)

Anyway, it works great :-)

Steve
