There have been quite a few reports of lockups when people try to do
simultaneous serial IO and SD writes, such as logging experiment data to the SD
card; you can find more info in the archives. Maybe somebody with direct
experience will jump in here ...
As a test, can you set up the board to boot & run from an NFS rootfs? That
would eliminate the SD card IO from the equation. If that works, it's
obviously not a solution for you but would narrow the cause of the problem.
Perhaps you could set up a ramdisk for /var for example, and run the SD card
readonly.
Also I would contact TS support if you haven't already, as this forum is only
volunteer users, outside of TS.
