[ts-7000] Getting Started with Embedded Systems

Hello to Everybody,

I need your help in guiding me on the getting started resources to join the 
embedded systems world. I have an MSc digree in Automation and Control and have 
some theoritical background on real-time systems. However, I don't have the 
required resources to catch up and get started on Embedded Systems. As a final 
note, I don't have a project or application on mind right now but I have the 
interest to aquire the knowledge.
