Okay,

All good tips from Doug.  I added all the exports including the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to my hacked version of linuxrc and now everything gets defined correctly.  I was also able to find and load ts7390fb.ko to get /dev/fb0 defined.  Much better.  But I'm still missing /dev/event0.

Inside the lbin dir there is a script called ts7390init which definitely shows what I need.  It does a bunch of modprobes:

modprobe evdev
modprobe ts_lcd
modprobe ohci-hcd
modprobe usbhid
modprobe mousedev
mdev -s

I'm sure that's what I want, but I'm not able to find these modules (especially evdev).  I'm guessing they are built in to the kernel, but not the kernel that I'm booting at fastboot.  So I'm stuck there.

And one new problem has crept up.  When I run my helloworld program with -qws I get:

/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version 'CXXABI_ARM_1.3.3' not found (required by /usr/local/Trolltech/QtEmbedded-4.4.3-arm/lib/libQtGui.so.4)

So it looks like I may have a problem with my QtEmbedded libraries after all.  However, when I run file on those libraries, they are definitely ARM files.  Did I somehow build using the wrong stdc libs?

I look at the beautiful stuff Donal is writing on his 7390 and I am so jealous.  Donal, are you not using EABI?  How did you get this stuff to run?

The saga will continue tomorrow,

...Z
