Sorry Mike,

I was on the 7390.  I looked in the same directory for the 7300 and I don't see any .dd files.  And I have never figured out how to create a bootable SD card without dd.

I do know that using dd at least creates the right partitions for you.  Then you have to figure out how to mount them in a way so you can copy files to them.

Sorry I lead you down the wrong path.

Are you sure this will boot on a 7300? I am not using a 7390. I do not have the fastboot enabled so it automatically tries to boot to the SD. It never comes up with a login prompt when using that image.
