What command line in Redboot are you guys using, and where are you 
trying to boot from? 

This,

Root-NFS: No NFS server available, giving up.
> VFS: Unable to mount root fs via NFS, trying floppy.
> VFS: Cannot open root device "usb0" or unknown-block(2,0)
> Please append a correct "root=" boot option
> Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(2,0)


Tells you that it was unable to mount the root FS, this is passed to the 
kernel from reboot as root=
