Guys:

Over the last few weeks I've gone from a perfectly-functional ts-7260 board
with Crapet's 2.6.27 kernel to one that more often than not stops here:

...
INIT: version 2.86 booting
usb 1-1: reset full speed USB device using ep93xx-ohci and address 2
usb 1-1: reset full speed USB device using ep93xx-ohci and address 2
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 1-1: reset full speed USB device using ep93xx-ohci and address 2
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 1-1: reset full speed USB device using ep93xx-ohci and address 2
usb 1-1: device not accepting address 2, error -110
usb 1-1: reset full speed USB device using ep93xx-ohci and address 2
 ...

The problem is intermittent, but growing more frequent to the point that it's
almost 100% repeatable now. The root filesystem is coming from a micro-SD card
plugged into a USB adapter, and that's the only device on the USB bus--- so the
above error messages are related to that device. If I plug the same USB
adapter and card into my Linux PC, it works fine and no errors are reported.

I've tried other cards and USB adapters, including ordinary USB flash drives
that are known to work on my Linux workstation. I've tried different power
supplies, ranging from 12V down to 5V with no success. I've tried powered USB
hubs that are known to work with Linux (I've tested them on other platforms,
including ARM machines). NOTHING in this system has changed recently, either
hardware-wise or software-wise. It's just been doing the occasional reboots as
I test out user application code. I'm stumped, especially with the fact that
it's been a progressive decline.

For what it's worth, error -110 is ETIMEDOUT according to errno.h.

Anyone have any ideas what might be going on? Is anyone else seeing a similar
problem? I'm aware of at least one other board in addition to my own that's
beginning to show the same symptoms.

Kindest regards,

b.g.
