Hi,
you should have snd-usb-audio compiled in your kernel. That shouldn't be a
problem if you use the 2.6 branch.
Don't bother to install snd-Usb if you have a 2.4 kernel (too much
troubleshooting).
I installed a Turtle Beach USB card on my TS7200 and everything worked fine
once I checked the "ALSA line" in the .config file and compiled a new kernel.
