Did you modify the out of band layout for the Nand flash?
If not, your likely to run into a problem where 2.6.28 will mark a large
number of blocks as bad due to a difference in the oob layout between
the TS kernel and the one you're using.
It is important to realize that the fast boot kernel and modern oob
layouts are incompatible.
