Hi Dave,
The kit only mentioned above is an add-on to the relevant board to make it
quicker/easier to start working on the corresponding board - power supply,
SD/CF card loaded with OS and serial cables.
Only the 7400 kit and the LCD (7390) kit have anything you can't get easily
somewhere else. In these cases there's a small PCB which allows you to access
the serial console of the device.
I've only used the TS-7200, TS-7300 and TS-7390 systems, and prefer the 7300 or
7390 to to their use of SD card. I'm currently developing with the 7390 as it
is much cheaper than buying the 7300 and adding an industrial LCD panel, and
it's a nice all in one system, but it depends if you want/need the PC/104 bus
or an easily reprogrammable FPGA (which the 7390 lacks). The 7800 has a large
number of users on this group, and I'll leave it to them to inform you if it's
a better choice than one of the Cirrus boards.
Regards,
PJE
