Diff'ing the source trees, then examining the diff is the best way to
learn about the TS changes.  The only way, really, as TS only releases
full tarballs for some reason, rather than patches.

Have you read Matt's patches?  They are nicely set up: one monolithic
patch file for easy/fast patching, and also individual numbered/named
 patches for cherry-picking or seeing directly what's been added.

If you are just starting out, and doing so on your own (ie not tied to
TS kernels), there's no reason to stick to 2.6.21 IMHO.  Start with
Matt's most recent patchset, then configure & build, and see what you
are still missing that you need.  Not much, if anything, I bet. 
Getting the binary blobs for TS SD support to link in to your kernel
may need a little work.

If you have problems, manage to find bugs or add something you need,
post back to the list; everybody wins.
