I'm not sure that would change anything, since my app catches SIGHUP and uses it as a "reload config" command (like many other daemons).  Unless the HUP signal is coming in before the program can register its signal handler...

But!  The output from the script itself does not even appear, and some of that is written before my app is even loaded.  And I'm talking about script output that is visible on the boot console of every previous TS-7800 I've used.

I wonder if there is a way to tell the master startup script not to run anything in the rcn.d  directories, or maybe not to run anything with a start number over xx...
