Thank you for your work on this!
I just got the UrJTAG package with your patch compiled and running here.
It seems to detect the ts7800 jtag chain fine.
But when I try to program a svf file for the TS-7800, I get the output below:

Let me make all of you really happy!

There is a new file that I have just uploaded to the Files section,
UrJTAG_09_ts7800. zip. It contains a diff for the UrJTAG 0.9 release
that adds a new cable and the required chips information for TS-7800
support.

The minimal sequence of commands in the UrJTAG software is:

> cable ts7800
> detect
> part 2
> svf <your SVF file>

and you get the SVF file 'played' into the FPGA.

As for how to apply the patch to UrJTAG, make a minimum FPGA
configuration or generate the SVF file... those are totally different
things! ;-)
