Hello,

Actually, I purchased the ts-7800 for the same reason and was, at the
time, led to believe (by TS) that I could manipulate the fpga. As it
turns out, this objective is supposedly still on their to-do list but
has become a low priority concern. This is what a TS representative
told me on the phone about 1 month ago. At the same time, I was told
the ts-7300 could do the job and that the fpga source had been
released on opencores.org. I bought a ts-7300 and loading a new fpga
bitstream was not too difficult. Since its all GPL you get hints
instead of good documentation but it wasn't too bad. See several
earlier posts for details.
