Hello Damir,

When the FPGA is able to be programmed via Linux, we mention "user-programmable via Linux". When the FPGA is only able to be programmed with different loads in the factory, we mention "programmable".

Right now, the only way to reprogram the TS-7800 FPGA is requesting TS a custom load or via the urJtag patch by Catalin.
There is no way to re-program the FPGA without affecting the existing cores, as Catalin explained. Therefore, your new bitstream must include SDCore, NAND or any other resource you may want to use.

Our original plan for the TS-7800 opencores project is to release CORE binaries of our proprietary modules that the user can plug to an FPGA Verilog project and compile/synthetize in. But this is still to be implemented...

Regards,
Ronald.

Dear Ronald,

I beleive there are more pages with "misleading" programmable
statements such as "The TS-7800 features a 12,000 LUT on-board
programmable Lattice FPGA" retrieved from
http://www.embedded arm.com/products /board-detail. php?product= TS-7800
on 10/25/2008.

But never mind, I just wonder how could we re-program the FPGA and
what about existing 80% of FPGA usage for driving SD device. So I have
two questions right now.

What do you do to access FPGA ?

secondly

Could the changes affect SD card feature ?

Kind Regards

user-programmable.

TS-7300, TS-7350, TS-7370, TS-7390. An opencores project is only
available for the TS-7300.
