[ts-7000] slhc insertion hangs system

Hi...

when I try to do a simple insert of the slhc module, I get a complete 
hang. While I can ping the system over ethernet, it is not possible to 
login, in fact a cold boot is required.

I'm using a TS-7250 with TS-LINUX

    $ /sbin/modprobe -v slhc
    insmod    slhc
    Using /lib/modules/2.4.26-ts11/kernel/drivers/net/slhc.o
