This is an issue that comes up from time to time and the company that
I'm with looked at the bootup times and looked for ways to reduce it
also. We determined that there was no way to significantly increase
the speed at which the journaling system processes the files it's
responsible for without crippleing the journaling alltogether.
The only solution was to discard yaffs in favor of some other filing
system however our preferance was journaling, ergo we're living with
the startup time, unsavory as it is.
If you can think of a solution to increase the speed under the TS-
7250, I'd certainly like to know what might be done and the wider
community of open source would like suggestions for improvement, I'm
sure. As it is, I think there's nothing that can be done to make any
significant increase in speed.
