Hello,
I can see that your posting is several months old, but I was
attempting to accomplish a very similar task as you mentioned below,
but have been having problems with the xxxxx.o module files.
I HAVE been able to cross compile quickcam.o and videodev.o and a
Centos (and also Fedora 7) workstation, so I think I can provide
assistance if you have not made it past that point.
I have not been able to get the videodev.o and quickcam.o modules to
work together though, and am not clear about how to solve the
problems. From all indications, after loading videodev.o and
quickcam.o, I should be able to access "something" from /dev/video0
(actually more accurately whatever node is assigned to major number
81), but always get a No such device message.
I submitted message 12208 to this group, but unfortunately have not
had any responses.
I would be more than happy to share information to work towards a
mutual solution....
Thanks in advance...
