Thanks Michael...
This still doesn't answer the question, I need access to all 3 com port drivers
so I can open /dev/ttyAM0, /dev/ttyAM1, and /dev/ttyTS0 for my application.
I have disabled the getty by commenting the inittab lines where both ttyAM0 and
ttyAM1 are enabled.
I need the tsuart.o since it creates the ttyTS0 driver...
Where can I find it on your web site...since the boot shows that it has
failed....why is the insmod in the init.d
if it is unsafe to load this driver anyway?
Thanks for your help
Jayne

Last I checked TS-7400 TS-UART support was built into the kernel. This
is because some of the UART functionality on the TS-7400 must be
detected earlier in the boot process then is possible if loaded as a
module (e.g. console on the TS-7412), and there also is some interaction
with the Amba UARTs (flow control access through the same PLD I believe).
tsuart0.o is the core TS-UART module. For a kernel with this module
built in it is not safe to load this module.
