Hello,

after couple of happy days I've got trouble again. My data collecting
application which is writing to SD card quite often hangs after some
time with D status.

I bought good brand (SanDisk Extreme III) SD card, made 2 partitions,
formated it with jfs and mounted it as /home and /var, what turned out
to be not a good idea.

The application writes to both /home and /var/www directories and was
running very good for 3+ days. After this time it locked and ps gives
some processes with D (uninterruptible sleep) status:

Among the locked processes is my application (miniTele) but also
pdflush and some others. Any attempt to unlock the filesystem failed,
but also the shutdown, reboot etc. (maybe because the var/log is also
on the SD card?).

This situation is happen twice (after approx. the same time). I'm
running the latest TS's software revision.

Is jfs good for flash device? I've thought it's robust.

Any hints are much appreciated.

Jiri
