Yes, I got caught out a couple of times with fconfig -l , like you I
used it to confirm the change had stuck and then wondered what had
happened when it rebooted to the old config.
With super light code like the boot loader you dont multiple ways to
enter a result. Best to do exactly what you're told , like a good boy!
