I think that's just their 'add your favorite tool to our gui'
option.

There's two aspects:
1. Simulation models for ... well, simulation.
2. Black-box interfaces for synthesis
Like I said, I've done (1) for ModelSim SE, and (2) for
Leonardo. So its just a matter of reading the Cadence tool
manuals, and the Quartus handbook.
After you've gone home and had a sleep, it'll all become
clearer ... :)
