To use Debian in Ts-7250, you need tho configure the redboot, I not sure how to configure the ts-7250. What have i done, I already switch from the TS-Linux to Debian the boot on CF card in ts-7200.

Here is the instruction how to configure the RedBoot, you need to read the user manual for TS-72xx before to do this. Becareful while configure the RedBoot

Redboot Configuration

 

By default setting, RedBoot script instructions load the Linux kernel from the flash chip for its root system. To view this script press Ctrl+C key after power up the board until shows the RedBoot prompt;

 

            RedBoot>

 

After that, types the following command at the RedBoot prompt to view the hold script;

 

            RedBoot>fconfig –l

 

By entering ‘fconfig’ command we changed the RedBoot script. To change to Debian Linux OS by changing root=/dev/mtdblock1 to root=/dev/hda1 in the script. Insert this following command the to change the script

 

 1.      Type fis load vmlinux and press enter

 

2.      Type exec -c "console=ttyAM0,115200 root=/dev/ hda1" an press enter

 

3.      Press enter until shows want to save this configuration

 

4.      Check back the script with fconfig –l whether both command  already insert or not

 

5.      Type reset command to reboot.

Hello,

I have read in the doc that's possible to run Debian on the TS-7250.
But there is no "how to do"...

So is it really possible? And how?? I prefer to boot on a SD card
(with usb adapter). So if Debian died, my 7250 will continue to work...

Some one can help me???
