Hello,
I'm having a hard time trying to get some webcams working on my TS-
7200 boards. I'm running Kernel 2.4.26-ts11.
I compiled the latest version of spca5xx full driver (spca5xx-
v4l1goodbye.tar.gz) and It works fine with an old webcam I have here.
Vendor: (0x04fc, 0x0561). I use videodog or vgrabbj and both get the
pictures just fine. When I connect this camera it shows me in the
log :
drivers/usb/spca5xx.c: USB SPCA5XX camera found. Type Flexcam 100
(SPCA561A)
drivers/usb/spca5xx.c: [spca5xx_probe:5485] Camera type S561
drivers/usb/spca5xx.c: [spca5xx_getcapability:1767] maxw 352 maxh 288
minw 160 minh 120
With a Genius Messenger webcam vendor (0c45:602e): . When I connect
it I get the following on the log :
drivers/usb/spca5xx.c: USB SPCA5XX camera found. SONIX sn9c102 +
Ov7630
drivers/usb/spca5xx.c: [spca5xx_probe:5485] Camera type SN9C
drivers/usb/spca5xx.c: [spca5xx_getcapability:1767] maxw 640 maxh 480
minw 160 minh 120
With Genius webcam when I call the same commands to capture a picture
(vgrabbj or videodog), the linux simply hangs and returns no error
messages. I have to power off and on to continue working. So I can't
get any logs. I tested another webcam supported by the driver
vendor : 0ac8:307b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. I got the same
problem.
The modules I have loaded are :

Do you know what can it be ?
Thank you very much in advance,
Fabio Vaz.
