Subject: [ts-7000] TS-7800 Armel won't accept telnet or ssh

I've been trying to get the debian-etch-eabi-armel-512MB-oct042007
root file system working on my 7800 with the stock 2.6.21-ts kernel.
I'm mounting the file system over NFS, and it boots without much
complaint, and most of it is working ok over a serial terminal.

After some messing around, we've got tcp/ip, ftp, and apache working,
but so far, it will not accept telnet or ssh connections. Here is a
typical response to an attempt to connect with ssh-

:~$ ssh -vv
