Hi Charlie,
How are you using the Bat3?
In my application I'm using the Bat3 to allow an orderly shutdown in
the event the power, supplied from an industrial control cabinet, is
switched off (which can happen without notice periodically for
maintenance).
I'm running in fastboot mod on the TS-7300, with the Bat3 daemon
loaded and started on powerup. My application checks the status of
the battery board every second, and when it has seen power lost for a
number of seconds starts saving its state. Once it has finished
saving the state it finds and 'kill's the bat3 daemon which causes
the power to go off.
In full boot mode things work a little different (but I'm not using
that mode when the system is operating) as the OS will power down the
system after the delay.
I must admit it's not as simple as I would like - I would have
prefered a system operating via a serial interface which went in line
with the main power which could respond to requests for status and
commands to powerdown without needing to load any software on the
7300 board. The current system is probably very powerful, but took me
a long time to get working correctly (mostly due to my inexeperience
with Linux).
If you could give me more information on how you are using the Bat3
(and with which card) I might be able to help you a little more.
Regards,
PJE

another card, its very annoying turing it off! i'll need to install a
switch on that jumper.
