Hi Dave,
ARM-based processor cores are documented by ARM and books like the one
you found. It's how ARM as an intellectual property works - look at
"Chapter 8 ARM Processor Cores" where ARM9TDMI is listed and, oddly,
"Chapter 12 ARM CPU Cores" which lists StrongARM (when Intel owned it
that was the name and Marvell bought the processor from Intel).
Try:
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-7800-linux-sd/docs/MV88F5182-opensource-manual.pdf
Although I haven't read the book you referred to it looks good from
the table of contents. As for Marvell 88F5182 specifics, the
peripherals, that usually is best to get from Marvell. If you or
anyone can figure out how to navigate Marvell's site for the
information on the 88F5182 please post the URL. Someone at Technologic
System's had to have the docs but possibly didn't have to navigate
that site - is it difficult for others or am I just not holding my
mouth right? ;) Maybe the only reference needed is the one that's at
the ftp address above?
