I don't know much about the jpeg decode process, but one FPGA option 
would be to add a TS-7KV board to the TS-7300. This board was 
originally designed to add a VGA display to a TS-72xx, but can be 
used as a general purpose FPGA board.

No need. I'm just trying to help. I am, if you really need to know, a 
controls engineer at Henrob Corporation a small Michigan (USA) based 
engineering company that sells self-pierce riveting systems. I design 
and program the various controls and monitoring systems (TS-7300 
based) as well as make the coffee. I come to embedded Linux from 
industrual PLCs and OS free microcontoller boards, so Linux is fairly 
new to me other than using Kubuntu on a Laptop.
