I got the same failure with 0.43...

Cool!  Thanks for that pointer.  I knew Dan Kegel has mostly stopped
maintaining crosstools.  I wasn't aware that Yann Morin branched it...

Thanks, I need it.  Long ago a friend made me a high-tech chicken's
foot to shake at the computer when all else fails.  It's come in handy
when building toolchains...  :-)
