Well, crosstool is on 0.43 now so that may have more fixes.
There is also a spin-off project, crosstool-ng, though the 2 share a
mailing list.
Check also the "build matrix" under kegel.com/crosstool that you are
building a combination that is known to work.
For this, the crosstool mailing list is more likely to find you
answers than here
In general, I'd try to use the latest stable versions of everything
