I'm having a bit of trouble getting a kernel to patch correctly.

fails with:

:/home/local/panel/src/linux-2.6.22.3$ patch -p1 <
../../arm/7200-2.6/var/cache/local/local.diff
patching file Makefile
patching file arch/arm/boot/compressed/head.S
Hunk #1 succeeded at 842 (offset -5 lines).
can't find file to patch at input line 68
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
--------------------------
|Index: linux-2.6.22/arch/arm/common/npe.c
|===================================================================
|--- linux-2.6.22.orig/arch/arm/common/npe.c
|+++ linux-2.6.22/arch/arm/common/npe.c

So it looks as though npe.c went away at some point - or perhaps is in
some later kernel? I've tried both 2.6.22.3 and 2.6.22.9 - no joy.
2.6.23-rc9 changelog doesn't have anything about npe.c.

I can't get this to patch; I keep getting a bad patch. I copied this
from this list so it's most likely a linewrap issue but I can't for
the life of me find it....

Could you please let me know what kernel you worked with?

Thanks,
