I thought only COM1 had the "normal" pins.  COM2+ only provides RX,
TX, and GND.  No?  Still, if that's the case, pins other than 2,3,5
shouldn't be connected.

Aside:  Please start new threads rather than replying and changing
subject.  It screws up the threading.
